Hello you.

There was a quick prick to my heart when I saw that I last posted on the 25th of October. Time is speeding on by and I will admit I feel a pang of guilt when I don't show up here regularly. I guess the lesson is to let go and get clear. Pay attention that something else is trying to be born. Surrender, always, surrendering.

If you are a regular reader you've gathered by now that I haven't been around as much as I have in the past. Since late spring I have felt the growing pains of my business and I'm intent on continuing to hold a space for these changes. What does all that mean? The truth is....I don't know.  Writing this blog is something I love, but I'm struggling a bit to keep everything balanced. And guilt? Guilt sucks. It is nothing but a prison of my own making and I'm over it. I am.  All we can do is our best. The best medicine is gentleness towards self. That is where I'm beginning today...gentleness and surrender...letting go and getting clear....

    1. Thanks Chris! Good advice. I'm committed to Etsy so no worries there! Plus I am rolling out a brand new website in 2013 so lots of good things coming down the pipe!! Blog or no blog...that is the question : ) xo

  2. Creativity is stifled by guilt and forcing yourself to do something. If writing is a creative outlet, you should let it flow naturally... Don't feel guilty. We'll be here when you are able to pop in.

  3. Holding you in my thoughts and sending you all good things! And I can relate.... I put my blog on hold for a bit as I go through changes and growing with new projects. Surrendering and letting things be by letting go is a good thing.

  5. Amy,
I think now is the time for doing just what we need to without guilt. As I struggle to teach full time, take care of my family, and finish my children's book before the deadline I find myself in a constant state of trying to balance it all. This week I stood in my power a bit and gently began taking things off my plate to try to finish my book without going to crazy town. It was tough for me to release the guilt and worry, but I had to create a container for finishing the book and I needed my family and friends to understand. So that long story was meant to encourage you to take what ever time you need, to do what you must do to follow your dreams as they move from caterpillar to butterfly. I am sending you lots of happy, guilt-free thoughts tonight.

Ps... I love the photo in the post...makes my heart ache a bit to be near such beauty.

    Take care,
    Susie

    1. You are wonderful Susie. Thank you for your encouraging words. I admire that you graciously took things off your plate to free up space to birth your children's book. That can be so hard to do. I think as women we try to do it all and we forget that we need to take care of our own needs and inner nudges first, which in the end is the best thing we could do for everyone we connect with. I'm so eager to see the book you are working on. Please let me know when it becomes available. xoxo Amy
